New York Rising Housing Recovery Program
Since Superstorm Sandy hit in October 2012, New York State has been working on a large scale recovery effort to rebuild and prepare for future extreme climate events by ensuring that federal disaster aid funds are made available quickly to those impacted, and the money is spent effectively and responsibly.

NYC Recovery
New Yorkers living and working in communities affected by Hurricane Sandy face many challenges as they rebuild their homes, restore their businesses and get their lives back to normal. This site provides access to information on the City's efforts to help New Yorkers recover from the devastating effects of the storm.

FEMA DisasterAssistance.gov
DisasterAssistance.gov provides information on how you might be able to get help from the U.S. Government before, during and after a disaster. If the President of the United States makes help available to individuals in your community after a disaster, you can visit this site to apply online.

Zone A New York

SImagines
SImagines is a program sponsored by the partnership of the Staten Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and Hunter College Department of Urban Affairs and Planning, in collaboration with the American Planning Association. The purpose of this grassroots effort is to develop a shared, unified, community vision of the future Staten Island in the aftermath of super storm Sandy.
This is a recovery organizing site for Staten Island in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. The site allows people to offer/request assistance, and is coordinated by non-profits and community organizations on the ground.

It is the mission of the Staten Island Community and Interfaith Long Term Recovery Organization to harness and justly distribute the resources of donors and supporters here in Staten Island and across the nation to foster an effective long term recovery of Staten Island in response to Super Storm Sandy as well as provide a vehicle for disaster preparedness and future emergency response.

NYC Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency
In December 2012, Mayor Bloomberg created the Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency (SIRR) to address how to create a more resilient New York City in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, with a long-term focus on preparing for and protecting against the impacts of climate change. A final report, released in June, presents  actionable recommendations both for rebuilding the communities impacted by Sandy and increasing the resilience of infrastructure and buildings citywide.
